About Us
Thank you for checking out our website. We are the Sena family and we currently serve our Lord in the small fishing and tourist town of Baja California, San Felipe.
San Felipe is located on the East Coast of Baja California, along the Sea of Cortez, 125 miles South of the border of California, with an approximately 17,000 habitants (2020).
Jason and Gina were married in 2002 and are the proud parents of four beautiful children, Ian, Joshua, Caleb and Olivia. Gina is originally From Mexico City and Jason is from Orange County, California. Orange County is where we began our family until God moved us to Northern California in 2008.
During the 12 years in the Bay Area, Jason worked in the Commercial Roofing industry as well as a volunteer chaplain with the San Ramon Fire and Police Department. Gina is a full-time homemaker and homeschool educator, having held the position of Classical Conversations Director.
We love BBQ’s, camping, movie nights, and hanging out with friends. It is not uncommon to have someone stop by our home any given night of the week.

The Call
Gina and I had always felt the biblical call to serve our local church in any area. We both had served our local church prior to marriage, and then as a young married couple.
In what I would consider the beginning of the plan to be called into the mission field happened in 2008. We had a new church due to moving to Northern California, it had been six months or so and we had established that this was to be our home church, and believed it only right to start serving.
Gina and I approached the pastor to ask the area most needed, when he asked to consider youth ministry. We were a very small church and there were only a handful of youth, and there was a need.
After a time of prayer and preparation for the next 5 months, I began to serve as the youth leader in January of 2009. Gina started serving in the of children’s ministry.
As God worked through us over the years and He led me to become the assistant pastor, ordained in 2011, and Gina and I as the directors of the Children’s Ministry.
Gina and I have always loved missions. Just as with serving, missions was something apart of our lives prior to marriage.
In 2016 we bagan to take short-term missions trips to the mission's base, 99plus1 Ministries in San Felipe, and it was through these short-term missions trips God called us to the mission field.
It was during our trip in May 2019 that the founders of 99plus1 Ministries asked us if we would prayerfully consider replacing them at the ministry. They had been in San Felipe for over 20 years and felt the Lord say it was time for a new season of ministry.
We were honored to have been asked, and joyous that the Lord confirmed our call! In May 2020 we were lovingly launched into the mission field by our home church, Calvary Tri Valley
